The Procurement Advisor will spearhead a broad range of procurement activities, including managing end-to-end tender processes, overseeing the corporate purchasing system, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The position plays a vital role in supporting and educating council staff on procurement processes, aligning with the council's service delivery and operational goals.

**About the role**:

- System administration of the Council's electronic purchasing system
- Preparation and oversight of tender processes through to contract award
- Conducting compliance audits and reporting on procurement system adherence
- Developing and leading procurement training initiatives
- Providing administrative support and ensuring adherence to EEO and OHS policies
- Maintaining currency with applicable privacy legislation

**About You**:

- Extensive procurement experience
- Experience within Local or State Government (desired)
- Strong administrative background in a professional services/procurement environment
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic purchasing systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Year 12 completion and Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent
- Hold a current and valid Driver's Licence
- Willing to obtain a Police Clearance
