**THE ROLE**

We are looking for a temporary Tender and Contract Support Officer to administer Council’s tender process from inception to completion. This role is responsible for procurement and contracts administration and support, contributing to the effective management of the procurement process.

The following is essential to succeed in this role:

- Tertiary qualifications (Certificate III minimum) in Procurement or Business Administration or relevant demonstrated experience in a similar role
- High level communication, customer service and computer skills

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Supporting the tender process through preparing tender evaluation plans, providing accurate documentation, collating submissions, maintaining records of meetings, preparing tender reports and creating contract packages for execution.
- Providing administrative support to the Coordinator Procurement through preparation of reports and documents for audit purposes.
- Monitoring Council purchasing activities by performing regular sample transactions reviews, checking that purchasing activities follow Council’s adopted procedures.
- Providing feedback and training to staff where required.
- Ensuring that all procurement records are appropriately filed in Council’s Records Management System.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the Procure to Pay Authority Altitude system.

This position is offered on a full-time, temporary basis for a period of 2 years working 35 hours per week.

Remuneration for the position is based on Grade 8 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $62,994 to $70,861 per year plus superannuation.
