Transport Supervisor

Our client is a well-known national logistics company providing courier and package delivery across the country. They are looking for Transport Supervisors for their expanding business on both day and night shift.

As a Transport Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to efficiently and cost-effectively manage the operations of the depot. You will oversee the seamless pick-up and movement of freight, both inter and intra-state. Your role is pivotal in meeting and exceeding customer expectations while maintaining operational excellence.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The primary responsibilities for this role are as follows:

- Manning depot staff appropriately within budget
- Ensuring sufficient line haul capacity for timely freight movement
- Collaborating with State Managers and other departments
- Supporting customer service and sales staff as needed
- Ensuring accurate consignment paperwork
- Managing equipment maintenance and repair
- Overseeing depot facilities maintenance

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong focus on safety and compliance
- Prior experience managing compliant transport sites or distribution centers
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of fostering a positive culture and motivating teams
- Proven track record of consistently achieving results and exceeding service and budget targets
- Sound understanding of the transport industry
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with negotiation abilities at a senior management level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with SAP experience being advantageous
