**The Role**:
Northern Health is seeking an experienced librarian to join our growing, innovative library service. This role focuses on the high quality support of Northern Health clinical, research and health information needed. This role needs a librarian with a genuine passion for helping individuals, divisions and the organisation meet their information needs and who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and users of library services and the ability to provide innovative face-to-face and online services.

It spans research and education initiatives internal and external to NH. This role offers the opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and passionate information professional to contribute to strategic outcomes for the library and Northern Health. The ability to build positive, productive working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders is a must, as is strongly developed teamwork skills. The Northern Health Library is a positive, skilled and supportive environment where staff are encouraged to contribute ideas and develop to their full potential.

This is currently a casual role with opportunities for part and / or full time positions.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience and good working knowledge in providing front line reference and circulation services including research consultations and literature searches
- Experience in the development and delivery of search education programs and content - both synchronous and asynchronous formats
- Experience in the delivery of a virtual library that is continually evolving and is based on user centred design.
- Experience in the management of key systems that deliver information resources across Northern Health, such as the Spydus LMS, discovery layer and authentication process, Springshare content management and institutional research repositories
- Experience in working with a diverse range of customers, library users or other clients in a busy, multi-channel environment
- A proven track record in identifying and implementing library service innovation, in collaboration with others
- Proven skills in developing the online aspects of modern library services: creating and maintaining quality, relevant digital resources in written, audio and video formats for the library and the user
- Proven ability to collaboratively develop procedures, implement these and maintain relevant procedural documentation
- Experience in cataloguing and other collection management activities
- A strong focus on supporting user adoption of evidence-based information sources through a range of beginner, intermediate and advanced services
- A love of workplaces which offer role diversity and the opportunity to participate in all aspects of library service delivery
- A positive, proactive and open-minded approach
- A proven team-player who understands the benefits of collaboration and cooperation
- Recognised tertiary qualifications conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
