**Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical OHS advice to managers, supervisors, employees and health and safety representatives.
- Provide technical EHS advice to managers, supervisors, employees and health and safety representatives.
- Support and coach the business to ensure EH&S legislative obligations for Duty Holders are understood and met.
- Bring people together to positively impact the safety culture of our business
- Ensure events and testing activities have appropriate levels of control to maintain safety whilst meeting the unique needs of the business.
- Facilitate and lead as required EH&S incident investigations to identify root (systemic) causes and to provide associated corrective actions. Vehicle incident investigation experience is desirable
- Monitor health and safety performance via a set of consistent lagging and leading indicators.
- Develop and implement a range of local strategies to reduce injuries by providing advice to management on OH&S best practice.
- Ensure workplace hazards are identified, assessed and mitigated.
- Manage known EH&S hazards and monitor the implementation of relevant treatment plans.
- Maintain effective feedback loops with local management, Local Consultative Forums, and Health and Safety Representatives and employees.
- Assist the broader health, safety and wellbeing team in the design and development of health and safety policies and processes as required.
- Support the development and delivery of corporate and localised training programs to address significant risk areas.
- Facilitate the annual Audit Program and certification requirements.

**Required Skills & Knowledge**:
Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental, quality and contractor management processes beneficial.
- Proven ability to liaise confidently with external providers, management and staff on safety issues of a technical nature incl. automotive vehicle knowledge.
- An interest and/or experience in emerging technologies, digitization, vehicle electrification.
- Knowledge and understanding Management Systems including ISO45001.
- Knowledge and experience in the interpretation of Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and a high level of interpersonal, negotiating, counselling and diplomacy skills.

**Qualifications**:
Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety, Science or Engineering (or higher).

OHS experience in both operational and professional environments highly preferred.

Successful applicants must be a Australian Citizen or hold applicabale Australian working visa.
