**About the role**

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced industry professional to become part of our Business Services teaching team on a casual basis to provide backfill where required. The role involves delivering and assessing Certificate III in Visual Arts (Photography) to TAFE Gippsland students face to face on Wednesdays. Your responsibilities will include offering support and guidance to students, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a successfulcareer in the Visual Arts Photography sector. The primary responsibility of a teacher involves delivering high quality training and assessment, creating educational resources and handling administrative tasks associated with course delivery including assessment marking.

As a Casual Teacher Visual Arts, you will:

- Share knowledge and experience in your specialist area;
- Manage the learning process to enable students to achieve their best;
- Develop and deliver relevant and industry current course material;
- Ensure that their own professional teaching and vocational competence and currency is kept up to date.

**About you**

You have the ability to train students to the high standard required in order for them to be successful in their chosen industry. You are an enthusiastic and motivated industry professional with experience in visual arts and photography. You are confident and proactive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to establish and build strong professional relationships. You have sound IT skills, a knowledge of training packages and an understanding of compliance and quality requirements. You have a passion for sharing your knowledge and experience, and for training, mentoring and supporting students to achieve their best.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Minimum Certificate III in Visual Arts or related studies
- Current vocational competence and experience in visual arts or photography
- Experience in the delivery of industry specific skills

**Mandatory requirements**
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months old)
- A valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current Driver’s License (travel is a requirement of the role)
