**About the role**

Our client seeking a talented and passionate **Freelance Mid-Weight Copywriter** to join their team and assist them with the exciting launch of a new brand platform. The platform will have a blog-like style and will primarily focus on youth creators, encompassing themes such as music, sport, art culture, and social impact. Through this platform, our client aims to create a meaningful and deeper connection with youth culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the creative team and brand strategists to develop compelling and engaging long-form content for the brand platform.
- Utilize your excellent storytelling skills to captivate the target audience and convey the brand's message effectively.
- Develop a distinctive and consistent tone of voice that resonates with the youth culture, aligning with the brand's objectives and values.
- Conduct research on relevant topics to ensure accuracy and credibility in the content.
- Ensure all written content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a high level of quality and creativity.
- Meet project deadlines and manage time effectively to deliver exceptional work within the given timeframe.
- Collaborate with other team members, including designers and editors, to refine and enhance the overall content experience.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the brand platform and its impact on youth culture.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably with experience in creating content for youth-oriented platforms.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to craft compelling and engaging storytelling content.
- Excellent command of the English language, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in developing and maintaining a consistent tone of voice throughout various content pieces.
- Knowledge and interest in youth culture, music, sport, art, and social trends.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work within tight timeframes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of three days per week at the Geelong office.

**Duration and Availability**: This freelance position will require your availability starting in mid-July for a few weeks. The brand platform is set to launch at the end of July. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who can commit their time to this exciting project.
