About the Role
- The Patient Flow Unit (PFU) which coordinates the flow of patients into and out of acute beds; locally, nationally and internationally.
- The Transit Care Hub (TCH) which provides the entry and discharge point for patients who are non-day of surgery, requiring outpatient appointments or day procedures.
- The Interim Admission Centre (IAC) which is another section of the TCH area. IAC is an admission area for Emergency Department patients waiting admission to an acute hospital bed.
- The After Hour Nurse Managers (AHNM) - this team has the responsibility in the out of hour hospital environment to ensure safe management of PAH hospital site managing emergent staff leave to ensure safe staffing levels, they are a point of escalation for capacity and access issue to internal and external stakeholders (QAS), respond to Ryan Rule escalation and has oversight of clinical and non-clinical operational concerns.
- The PFP also manages health information technology programs for PAH and across MSH.
