**The Opportunity**:
Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will be part of a busy, dynamic, and high performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for processing the weekly payroll for our employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Officer will also be responsible for maintaining employee records and responding to payroll related queries.

This 12-month contract role will be based at our office at Reservoir, Vic (hybrid). Ideally the role suits a payroll professional who is flexible in their approach and capable of working in a complex environment with high volumes.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Managing payrolls ensuring all employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner
- Compliance with all legal and financial aspects associated with the management of Payroll
- Work closely with various internal stakeholders across different sites to ensure that all necessary payroll information is received in a timely manner and in accordance with all requirements
- Maintain employee records in accordance with VISY and legislative requirements
- Assist and respond to employee payroll enquiries via the ServiceNow platform

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Experience with SAP payroll software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations
- Experience within a medium to large payroll environment with solid understanding of complex payroll processes e.g. weekly/monthly cycles across multiple sites
- Ability to interpret awards, EBA’s, legislation and internal policies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
- You are a passionate self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment
