**About the Centre/Service**

Established in 1978, Wonnai Preschool is a high quality, boutique, community-minded kindergarten in Langwarrin, we are proud to have provided over 40 years of quality care and education to the residents of Frankston City Council. Run by a Committee of Management comprised of parent volunteers, we facilitate government funded three and four year old groups and offer each exclusive access to the centre, allowing the children to take full advantage of our excellent facilities and expansive outdoor play area. Wonnai Preschool values play-based learning and provides a caring environment where our collaborative and passionate educators are able to focus on the unique learning needs of each child, our programs are developed around the principles set out in the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework, with each of our teaching team bringing their unique talents and interests to the various sessions, because of this our services are rated by ACECQA as ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standards’. Under the guidance of our professional and friendly teachers, the children are engaged in a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor activities, including stories, drama, dance and movement, puzzles, craft and painting, sports, gardening and so much more.

**Description**

**Primary role **Bachelor Qualified Educator - lead the planning and delivery of our 4-year-old kindergarten program through play-based learning, and help our amazing children learn and develop their communication skills, sense of identity, wellbeing and sense of place in the community. Nominated Supervisor is also a key part of the role. **Position type **Part-time 6-month contract, Term 3 & 4, With the possibility of an ongoing position. **Work Days**:Classes run on Mondays and Wednesdays and an additional day will be confirmed for admin tasks. **Hours per week**:25.25 hours per week. (plus breaks) Sessions:

- Mondays: 7.30am-4.30pm (class runs 8.30am-4.00pm)
- Wednesdays: 7.30am-4.30pm (class runs 8.30am-4.00pm)

Admin:

- Either Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.
- Additional hours to also be allocated for nominated supervisor duties.

While class time and days are fixed, the span of hours worked either side as well as those spent on admin days are flexible. **Experience**: Knowledge of EYLDF/VEYLDF, CSS (Child Safe Standards), Experience working with a Committee of Management will be highly regarded **Requirements **WWCC **Industrial Agreement/Award **Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA)**Qualifications**

**Qualifications **The successful applicant must have a minimum Bachelor of Education qualification, VIT registered (full or provisional) and Working with Children Check. Current CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training and a current First Aid Certificate are required. Current Mandatory Reporting qualifications
