**About the Role**
- **This is a two-year Fixed Term Role.**
Reporting to the Director, Public Transport Program Development, the Associate Director, Public Transport Programs is responsible for leading the development, prioritisation, and sequencing of an integrated forward public transport program for Victoria covering stations, carparks, tram and other public transport modes. The position works together across DTP and its transport agencies and operators to ensure integrated and complementary development and prioritisation of public transport programs and projects to respond to transport user and network needs. The position is required to liaise and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders within DTP and the broader transport sector, and provide advice and support to senior departmental leaders and transport ministers. The role may also be required to perform other job-related duties to support the Network Pipeline and Program Division in delivering its business objectives.

**Position Outcomes**
**Key Selection Criteria**
- Lead and manage the development of integrated public transport programs and provide advice to senior decision makers on future investment priorities.
- Lead and manage project teams to provide co-ordinated transport portfolio advice in relation to public transport programs including the translation of transport plans and the network pipeline into prioritised programs for future investment that meet the needs of network and users.
- Develop and embed fit for purpose frameworks to support the assessment and prioritisation of future programs based on desired transport outcomes, investment logic and investment analysis
- Lead the development of business cases for public transport programs, through the use of multi-disciplinary project development teams.
- Work in conjunction with transport agencies and operators to provide advice to ministers on the development and operational impacts and risks of the near term transport program.
- Actively foster constructive working relationships within the branch and between the division, the department, other government departments and agencies and other key stakeholders and establish ongoing initiatives to enhance these relationships.
- Lead and manage people and teams, with an emphasis on setting clear directions, supporting and developing individual staff, and building high performance teams.
