About the Program
SSI was chosen as one of six organisations for The Home Care Workforce Support Program. Funded by the Australian Department of Health, the program is helping senior Australians to remain at home by growing the personal care workforce.
SSI is delivering the program in NSW and the ACT with support from member organisations.

**We are helping to develop and enhance aged care by**:

- Highlighting the aged care industry as a rewarding and diverse long-term career path
- promoting training and support opportunities for new recruits and others who wish to upskill
- supporting new recruits to navigate and access training opportunities
- providing virtual mentoring and career guidance support to students undertaking training
- linking trained personal carers to job vacancies in the home and community care sector
- providing advice and training to the aged care industry on recruitment strategies and how to maintain a diverse workforce

About You
We are looking for Community Engagement Events Officers who will work closely with the Lead within a team to identify, initiate, plan, coordinate and deliver HCWSP community, industry, and stakeholder events across NSW and the ACT. You will be responsible for attracting new workers into the sector, raising awareness within the community, promoting the program to target audiences, mapping opportunities, participating in school, industry and career expos, evaluating activity, reporting on outcomes, managing resource print production and other activities not inconsistent with the role.
Essential Criteria
- Experience developing, planning, and delivering events.
- Administrative, organisational, budgetary, reporting and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and self-motivational skills.
- Stakeholder focus.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Analytical interpretation an advantage.
- Print production experience an advantage.
- Marketing experience an advantage.
- These roles may be based in either Regional NSW or Sydney with ability to travel frequently within NSW and the ACT.
- You will be required to attend some weekend / evening events.
