**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
As the Regulatory Intelligence Specialist, you will support stakeholders to embed the use of intelligence in regulatory decision-making and promote an intelligence culture with a targeted approach to compliance.

You will:

- develop and implement the organisation’s regulatory intelligence approach to promote Coal LSL as a leader in proactive, risk-based and intelligence-led regulation
- collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed the use of intelligence in regulatory decision-making and support an intelligence culture with a targeted approach to compliance
- analyse known and emerging compliance risks, opportunities and ‘hot spots’ to contribute to effective strategy development
- provide high level intelligence expertise and analysis on complex and sensitive matters and identify opportunities and solutions to address emergent, enduring and contentious issues
- develop metrics and performance reporting tools to monitor and evaluate the regulatory performance of the organisation and intelligence-led projects to inform decision making, influence policy and practice development
- support the pro-active and continuous improvement of Coal LSL’s regulatory clarity, including the identification of gaps and trends in employer compliance and data collection
- collaborate with the Information and Data Business Unit to promote the collection and collation of information that can be used to inform compliance risks, develop initiatives or identify emerging issues
- promote the importance of a consistent approach to collection, storage and the use of data in decision-making.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**
To be successful in the role of Regulatory Intelligence Specialist, you will have extensive experience in intelligence gathering, analysis and report writing. You will have an innate ability to interpret and translate data to produce meaningful regulatory information for the organisation.

Your background will demonstrate your:

- knowledge and experience in intelligence gathering, analysis and report writing
- sound judgement, high level analytical thinking, investigative research and synthesis skills
- experience in developing and maintaining reporting dashboards
- ability to learn complex concepts quickly and explain with clarity and technical accuracy, adjusting language according to the target audience
- strong attention to detail
- strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build collaborative and productive relationships with all levels of the organisation
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor written and spoken styles to the relevant audience.

You will have demonstrated industry experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Regulatory Intelligence, or related field.
