Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.**About the role**
- We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Collect samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing

**About you**
- To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Show a high level of empathy, communication, and customer service
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A willingness and confidence to work independently in a solo clinic
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19 are a requirement of this role
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection would be advantageous

**Training**
- All of our new Collectors positions will receive full training upon commencement.**Talent pool**- We are after expressions of interest for a Permanent Part time Pathology Collector position to join our professional and friendly team in the Hunter area. You must be available Monday to Friday and flexible for weekends. The would be a permanent part time position min 6 hrs per week and able to cover sick and annual leave. This position is responsible for performing Venepunctures, ECG and Holter test, Home Visits and other specimen collections as requested by referring practitioners.- Training will start in Early 2024.**_To be successful in this role, you will need: - _**
- Own car and valid Drivers’ licence is essential.
- Be flexible with hours and also ability to work weekends essential.
- Basic computer skills and exceptional telephone manner is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with collections team, referring Doctors, Patients and other Stakeholders: both written and verbal.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding and dedication to patient care and service delivery standards.
- Ability to demonstrate sound organisational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- Sharing the company’s vision, cultures and values through respect for all.
- On call work on a rotating roster
