Star Discount Chemist Northpark is seeking a patient-centric Medical Receptionist to join their team on a part time basis. This newly created hybrid role merges traditional medical receptionist duties with being located in our pharmacy, to support the IvyMed Clinic. Our IvyMed Clinics offer allied health and complementary medicine services to the community complementing our core pharmacy business model.
**OPPORTUNITIES IN THE ROLE**
- Tuesday/Thursday hours with the opportunity to increase (approx.15 hours per week)
- Availability to relieve staff at the IvyMed Clinic Pasadena should the need arise

**Key Responsibilities**:
- First point of contact for the IvyMed Clinic both in person and over the phone
- Day-to-day management of the IvyMed Clinic
- Ability to work as a multifaceted team and independently
- High level of computer skills and experience with Best Practice Software and HubSpot Software is desirable
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
- Leading by example and demonstrating superior patient/customer service
- Coordination/schedule of patient appointments
- Maintain and manage patient records if/as required
- Prepare, billing and receipt patient accounts
- Medicare/DVA and credit card/EFTPOS processing
- Report statistics as required
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- General administration duties when required to Doctors, Chief Pharmacist, patients and visitors
- Reliable and who thrives on helping others
**Essential Criteria**:
- Medical reception working in a general practice or specialist clinic (essential)
- Familiarity working with key performance indicators
- Motivation of “self” and the ability to guide and lead others
- Strong work ethic and a professional approach to patients/clients
- Experience in record keeping or maintaining patient records (desired)
- Evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
- Current Police Certificate (or willing to obtain)
