About the role

In this well-governed regional organisation the Chair leads and, along with a very capable CEO, represents its public face. You will be a ‘leader amongst equals’, using your experience, skills, and leadership abilities to facilitate the governance processes. Your primary function is to ensure that the board fulfils its role in accordance with the governance framework, and you will be the major point of contact between the Board and management through the CEO.

For this important role, you must have governance knowledge and experience working on Committees as a non-executive director and be experienced in governing a NFP organisation. Industry knowledge in community or human services would be highly regarded, and previous experience as a Chair or Deputy Chair would be beneficial. The Chair is remunerated at a rate comparable with country hospitals.
