**About the role**

This is where you come in and help us create a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. We are looking for a guest-centric Security Officer on a casual basis. This role will report directly to the Security & Surveillance Shift Manager and is responsible for keeping our property, employees, and guests safe. You will be flexible to work across a 24-hour roster and are expected to have availability on Friday and Saturday nights as well as public holidays.

**Duties**

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

- ID checks,
- Monitor RSA
- Act in the role of Deputy Warden in the event of a fire and/ or emergency evacuation,
- Assist guests and staff members across different departments,
- Provision of first aid to guests and staff members,
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and
- Build positive relationships and deliver on our _Moments of Truth _to our stakeholders.

**Skills & Experience**

To be successful, you will need to possess:

- 2 years of Security experience in a Hospitality venue,
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

**Certificates & Licences**

You will also be required to hold:

- Tasmanian Security Licence
- Crowd Control Licence
- Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Tasmanian Gaming Special Employee Licence
- Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RGS)
- Monitoring Room (desirable)
