Our client has a unique opportunity for a Quality Superintendent to work on the Victoria Park-based Causeway Bridge Project. In this role, you'll be in charge of leading, monitoring, reviewing, and delivering the Quality Assurance/Management Program while following industry standards. Previous experience with MRWA or PTA infrastructure in the metro area is a must along with management experience.

Your responsibilities will include managing the onsite quality team, supporting project procedures and policies, and helping subcontractors and suppliers maintain an acceptable level of quality for the Alliance Project.

This is a great chance for a Quality Superintendent with an infrastructure background and main roads experience to join the team. The Project involves designing and constructing two cable-stayed bridges, including a 6-meter-wide shared path connecting the Victoria Park foreshore, Heirisson Island, and Perth's CBD at Point Fraser.

Project completion is expected in late 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead, manage and mentor the Quality team to victory
- Manage, track and report on Quality metrics, making sure everything is shipshape
- Provide QA/QC support across all scopes of work and be a focal point to manage all Quality issues.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of robust QA/QC processes including project completion ITRs and completion system allocations.
- Work with the project management and engineering team in the development of strategies and processes to ensure that project quality and client satisfaction are maintained.
- Review and monitor Subcontractor QA/QC processes to ensure contract requirements are met
- Keeping an eye on subcontractor quality processes, like a quality detective
- Facilitate development and implementation of Project Quality Plans, ITPs, Procedures etc. by project personnel
- Ensure work performed is in compliance with applicable Client specifications, policies, standards and procedures
- Ensuring all Audit (Internal and external) actions are completed in a timely manner
- Oversee implementation of quality-related documentation including AS/international standards, project specifications, method statements, forms, checklists etc. and assist the project to select and where appropriate tailor and/or developing checklists and instructions to meet project completion requirements
- Develop, coordinate and deliver quality management-related training of all employees in QA/QC responsibilities, processes and expected outcomes as appropriate
- Review and analysis of product/process conformance on-conformance and associated corrective/preventive actions

The scope includes:

- Architectural and engineering design
- Engagement with local Whadjuk Noongar Elders, community members and other key stakeholders
- Fabrication and transportation of complex steel structure weighing approximately 1,500 tonnes.
- Ground preparation, earthworks and piling for approach embankments
- In-river works, including piling, pile caps and pylon structures
- Bridge structural erection and electrical installation
- Environmental management practices to minimise our footprint on the environment
