**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer in Sydney with TEG**
We are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave cover. While this position is initially temporary, there is potential for it to transition into a permanent role after the completion of the 12-month period. As a payroll officer you will be preparing the payroll for all employees across APAC.
**You will have proven experience using payroll systems and have a good understanding of compliance and legislative frameworks.**
You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing, including the interpretation of awards, new starters and termination documentation, processing payroll changes such as on call, mileage and other allowances and responding to payroll.
**About The Role**
- Data entry for each payroll for each pay run
- Liaise with outsourced payroll provider for resignation / termination calculations, checking calculations to ensure compliance with legislation
- Adhering to schedules for different payruns for each Country
- Relationship management with each pauyroll provider for each Country
- Investigate and resolve incoming customer queries
- With support from the People and Culture team you will be responsible for ensuring we are compliant with legislation each pay period. Other duties as directed.

**To Be Successful you will**:
- Have 2 years + working experience in payroll (in-house, outsourced or both)
- Be a self-starter and work autonomously.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and enthusiastic.
- Exceptional follow through.Be a people person You communicate with style and professionalism, across all levels of business relationships, both internally and externally.
- Previous experience in running pays (weekly, fortnightly, monthly)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet payroll deadlines
- Experience using ADP, Payforce, Datacom and Bamboo HR would be highly desirable.
- Previous payroll experience ideally in a large corporate environment in Australia.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experienced in running diverse pay runs that have to adhere to modern awards
- Comfortable liaising with a diverse range of business partners across all division.
