To be considered for one an ACA traineeship you should:

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent Australian resident
- Have a current Driver's Licence
- Must be at least 16 years of age and **not at school at the commencement of the program**:

- **Be able to commit to the 10-day pre-employment commencing in February**:

- Possess a kind and compassionate demeanor, excellent teamwork skills and can communicate with children and adults from all cultures and backgrounds.

**Role Description**:
ACA are excited to be able to offer** Early Childhood Education **traineeships. These will give passionate individuals the chance to thrive in the Childcare industry and make lasting impacts on the 0 - 4 year old's they are caring for.

Prior to placement into a traineeship, participants will undertake a 10-day **FREE** pre-employment program **located at EQUALS International in Adelaide CBD** commencing in February, where participants will undertake both accredited and non-accredited training that will provide them with the required core skills to undertake a traineeship in (CHC30121) Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.

Units covered in the program:
HLTWHS001 - Participate in workplace health and safety

HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

CHCDIV001 - Work with diverse people

Child Safe Environments Certificate including RRHAN-EC

Successful participants will be selected at the completion of the Pathways to Employment program to then commence a paid 12-month full time traineeship within the Childcare industry whilst completing their (CHC30121) Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.

You must be prepared to complete National Police Check and Working with Children Check which will be paid for by ACA.

**About the roles**
- Earn while you learn - gain your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and be paid for on and off the job training
- **Paying Above Award - $14 - $19.42 per hour pending age.**:

- **Eligible for up to $5,000 as part of the Apprentice Support Payment - (must meet eligibility criteria)**:

- Childcare workers responsible for tasks such as supervising children to ensure that they are safe, preparing activities and experiences, meeting children's needs such as food, drink, sleep and hygiene, as well as their emotional needs. A traineeship in this sector will support qualified Childcare Workers.
