Position Overview:
As an Occupational Hygienist, you will play a pivotal role in addressing both health and environmental concerns. You will work closely with a diverse client base, including government agencies, health care providers, research institutes, insurance professionals, property developers, and many more.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct occupational hygiene assessments within both the built and natural environment, primarily focusing on biological, chemical and physical stressors.
- Collect data and samples using diverse methods and techniques.
- Interpret analytical results and data.
- Prepare technical reports, protocols, and expert advice.
- Handle administrative tasks including quote preparation and system development.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, quality, and duty of care responsibilities.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prepare reports adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
- Contribute to team-based outcomes.
- Attend site investigations and conduct fieldwork.
- Conduct various types of sampling and investigations, including microbial, chemical etc.
- Manage site remediation projects.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Hygiene, or a closely aligned field.
- Provisional member or higher within the AIOH.
- Minimum 2 years full-time post-graduate experience in conducting Occupational Hygiene assessments in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Experience in conducting on-site assessments without direct physical supervision.
- Extensive experience in conducting microbial assessments in residential and commercial settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local requirements and standards.

Additional requirements:

- Based in Melbourne, Victoria.
- The ability and willingness to travel for work, including short-term interstate travel.
