**About Softmed**

Softmed is a world-class Australian-based manufacturing facility for surgical masks, N95 respirators, and other PPE products and the non-woven fabrics that are the raw materials for PPE.

**Our factory in Campbellfield, Victoria, is a medical grade, state-of-the-art PPE manufacturing facility and testing laboratory. This is also the location of our Head Office and administrative and operational team.**

**About the role**

**The role of Financial Analyst **will be responsible for the management, analysis and dissemination of the financial records of Softmed, including budgeting and cashflow. Duties of the role will include (but not be limited to):

- Responsibilities: _
- Conducting financial statement analysis, budgeting and cash flow according to company policies and in consultation with the management.
- Thoroughly analyse financial data to improve fiscal health and develop actionable insights that drive business performance
- Establish and guide restructured cost analysis processes by creating fresh policies and procedures
- Ensure implementation of accounting policies, process and procedures with evolving accounting standards.
- Main duties: _
- Involved in preparing the business Activities statement (Under account needs), profit & loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flow.
- Monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections
- Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
- Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information
- Involved in executing bank reconciliation procedures.
- Conducting financial investigations and preparing reports.
- Analysing current and past financial data
- Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends
- Develop forecast models based on metrics to implement improvements as the business grows
- Exploring different investment opportunities
- Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
- Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth
- Evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation
- Develop business cases to support decision-making and support pricing decisions by creating innovative strategies for cost reduction
- Assisting in resolving accounting discrepancies, profit and loss statement, budgeting, managing ledgers, cost accounting report.
- Involved in calculating company’s annual business tax, seeking plans for improving business structures and timely reporting to manager.
- Performing the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, monthly closing, and yearly closing procedures in XERO or any other software used by business.
- Establishing and evaluating profit plans

**Position requirements**
- Relevant Bachelor Degree qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant employment experience
- Experience working in an Environmental Health & Services industry

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year
