**The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been operating for 35 years.**

Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, as well as unemployment, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, social welfare and education support.

Our site based in Ashfield houses the ‘Loaves and Fishes Restaurant’, which serves the disadvantaged with free meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - seven days each week. We have a small fleet of mobile food vans that serve meals at 16 locations across the Greater Sydney basin.

**Opportunity**

The needs of the disadvantaged in our community is growing and this means services for our Food Vans are needed more and more. To support our food services program we are looking to hire casual or part-time drivers. Full training will be provided.

**What will be your responsibilities?**
- Drive a food van to a pre-determined site which will vary on a day to day basis
- Set up and serve and plate food to our guests (breakfast, lunch or evening)
- Load and unload the food van while at Ashfield
- Manage inventory and keep track of supplies
- Routine maintenance, such as cleaning & refuelling as required
- Maintain accurate records of van activity including mileage and fuel usage
- Collaborate with the food services team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Support and supervise volunteers who join you on your food run

**What you will need to have**:

- Full current Driving Licence (Class C)
- Current online driving history
- Previous experience driving Mercedes Sprinters or similar size
- Plenty of empathy and positivity
- Be non-judgemental
- Enjoy having a chat to people
- A strong work ethic and resilient
- Be super reliable and efficient with great time management
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holiday
- Sound knowledge of food handling would be ideal
