Kingsford The Barossa is an iconic property set on 225 acres on the edge of Barossa Valley, situated 10 minutes from Gawler and 45 minutes north of Adelaide. The property has recently undergone a major redevelopment and is now regarded one of Australia’s most luxurious visitor retreats. Kingsford The Barossa operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can accommodate 32 guests. The property includes a 250-seat conservatory, 32-seat restaurant, 100 seat wine room with 6 vault, wine cellar, 2-lane German Kegel bowling alley, pool bar, boardroom, library and lounge bar. Kingsford The Barossa is privately owned by the Ahrens family.

**About the Role**

Kingsford The Barossa are looking for Front of House staff to join our passionate and professional team at one of Australia’s most luxurious retreats. We have multiple positions available, and are seeking experienced Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team of superstars.

In these roles, we are looking for future team members to help in the serving of meals, preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, serving and brewing of hot & cold drinks, as well as clearing tables, plates & maintaining the clean presentation of Kingsford The Barossa. The position will be responsible for providing the highest standards of excellence in guest services and deliver a memorable experience throughout the stay. This is a hands-on role for those who are passionate about hospitality and satisfying consumer needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that service is at all times performed in a friendly and professional manner, promoting the brand of Kingsford the Barossa at all times and building rapport with customers to ensure memorable and enjoyable guest experiences;
- Maintain bar and dining room supplies and notify management of low stocks for reorder;
- Provide menus to guests and be willing to answer consumer inquires and meet dietary requests;
- Be fully conversant with every menu item and provide explanations and recommendations if requested by guests;
- Reset tables in preparation for the next service ensuring it is presented in a sophisticated manner;
- Report any comments/complaints/problems to the supervisor and ensure that resolutions are being provided for the reputation and consumer satisfaction purposes;
- Tasks are to be completed in the time allocated and to the standard set by Barossa Luxury Retreats;
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to deliver a high level of client service;
- Have a full understanding of individual guest reservations and be prepared and organised to create an unforgettable experience for all guests;
- Promote goodwill and interact positively at all times with guests, patrons, supervisors, managers and colleagues by being courteous, friendly and helpful;
- Support the team environment by performing effectively and efficiently to maintain a positive and professional group standard;
- Be alert and observant at all times to assist guests & staff if you see a person in need of help, irrespective of which department you may be in at the time.

**Skills and Experience**
- Possess excellent customer guest relation and problem-solving skills while communicating in a positive, friendly and enthusiastic manner;
- Experience working in a hospitality environment;
- Wine knowledge highly desirable;
- Current Drivers Licence or reliable transport to work;
- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and devise suitable alternatives and/or solutions;
- High level of professional personal presentation and punctuality;
- Highly independent, with the ability to take initiative;
- Demonstrates competent verbal and written skills to ensure effective communication with guests and staff members;
- Experience working under pressure and adapting to change;
- Ensures customer request and experiences are exceeded by having excellent attention to detail and high-level organisational skills;
- Flexibility to work various shifts including, weekends and public holidays;
- Flexibility to stay overnight at Kingsford if required;
- Effective communication with a large and diverse range of people especially, being respectful and aware of cultural differences.
