**Leading Hand - Joinery Manufacturer**

Seascape Joinery is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Leading Hand to join our team in Coolum Beach. This full-time position would suit a proactive individual with joinery manufacturing and leadership experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and direct factory team within a medium-sized joinery manufacturing environment
- Provide input on construction methods and quality standards
- Liaise with various departments to compile required information, schedules, specific information and project deadlines
- Champion LEAN manufacturing principles and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Actively participate in and contribute to Leadership Team
- Support CNC equipment operations and maintenance to produce joinery
- Perform detailed quality assessments and follow quality control measures
- Monitor equipment performance and advise on maintenance requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and adhere to company policies

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a joinery environment
- Trade qualification in either Cabinetmaking or Shopfitting
- Experience operating CNC equipment in a medium-sized enterprise
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and schedules
- Intermediate computer skills - use of inventory management systems
- Strong mathematical, technical and mechanical aptitudes, and ability to communicate
- Exposure to LEAN manufacturing principles
- Forklift licence desired

**Salary**: $32.50 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coolum Beach, QLD 4573: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Construction: 5 years (preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Trade Certificate in Cabinet Making or Shopfitting (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
