We have an exciting opportunity for Paralegal to join our team at Davis Advisory.

**About the Business**

Davis Advisory was set up in 2012 to offer more tailored solutions to top-tier corporate clients across the region. We are a boutique practice specialising in environment, planning, property, M&A and major projects work around Australia. Although only a small firm in size we do hold our own in the market and we act for the larger end of town on a variety of major transactions as their environmental counsel.

**Job Summary**

This is a non-traditional role in which all of our staff members are given opportunities that they may not be given at larger firms. One day you may be assisting in preparing an environmental law advice for a client and the next you may be in the Supreme Court instructing alongside Counsel. At Davis Advisory each day will be different, and you will never be bored

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- assisting in the preparation of legal documents and advices;
- liaisons and meetings with clients, councils, barristers, government agencies, regulatory agencies and consultants;
- assisting with diary and file management;
- filing court documents;
- attending to research and case/legislation analysis;
- attendance at various courts including the County Court and Supreme Court;
- providing support to the Legal Services Manager, Senior Associate, Managing Associate and Partner; and
- assisting with other office tasks as required.

**Qualifications & Experience**

The key qualifications and experience that you should possess for this role are:

- experience working as a Paralegal/Law Clerk and has a familiarity with legal procedures and protocols;
- has good knowledge and experience using all Microsoft Office programs and is familiar with Macbook products;
- has excellent time management and organisational skills;
- someone who is ambitious and is interested in long-term employment prospects;
- has good communication skills and is strongly proficient in writing, editing, and proof reading;
- is honest, reliable and hardworking;
- has a high level of attention to detail;
- works well both in a team and individually;
- is able to build positive client relationships through effective communication, establishing trust and maintaining confidentiality;
- is able to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the firm by monitoring case progress;
- has good critical thinking skills and has the ability to analyse complex information;
- has a flexible attitude towards daily tasks; and
- has the ability to juggle multiple activities and work well under pressure.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
