**THE ROLE**

The Program Leader Stormwater Assets will lead the planning and delivery of waterways and stormwater asset management ensuring that City of Hobart’s catchments and stormwater assets are effectively and sustainably modelled, developed and managed into the future, delivering on the City of Hobarts statutory responsibilities under the _Urban Drainage Act 2013_ and other relevant legislation.
- Manage stormwater and waterways assets across the City of Hobart municipality.
- Develop stormwater strategies that will guide the City of Hobart’s management of stormwater and waterways assets into the future.
- Work on exciting hydraulic and hydrological projects, providing guidance and expertise to engineers and technical officers within the waterways team and across Council.
- Work with other council departments to manage stormwater and waterways capital and operational projects.
- Work in a varied and interesting role that has direct and positive impacts on the community.
- Build and shape a positive team culture.
- Participate in a Leadership Program with ongoing career development and training.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar field of practice) with knowledge and experience in hydraulic engineering, in particular the planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance of stormwater, stormwater assets and associated catchments.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to the management of stormwater and waterways including the _Land Use Planning Act 1993_, the _Urban Drainage Act 2013_ and other relevant legislation.
- Extensive experience in asset management and the development of capital works programs.
