**General Description**:
The purpose of this position is for Electrical design drafting to be provided to projects.

**Reports to**:
Operations Manager

**Responsibilities**:
1) Undertake Electrical design and drafting for Concept, Principle and Detailed Design activities including:
a) Schematics;
b) Block Diagrams and Cable Plans; and

a) Cable tray Drawings.

b) Control and Automation

c) Layouts

d) Material selection

e) Material lists

f) Earthing

g) labelling

2) Develop detail cable and connector lists where required.

3) Assist with design and drawing activity in mechanical and naval architectural disciplines where required.

4) Produce illustrations and diagrams for engineering documentation such as reports and specifications.

5) Vendor Liaison

6) Interface with other disciplines for the delivery of technical services.

7) Requirements analysis development and verification of design against requirements.

8) Other duties as required to support design, consultancy and marketing activities

9) Undertake ILS, Training and Configuration Management tasks as applicable to ship design.

10) Mentoring and development of colleagues and junior staff

**HSEQ Responsibilities**
- Uphold Company HSEQ Standards at all times for all activities
- Ensure all HSEQ Management system documentation is implemented and complied with
- Participate in the HSEQ Committee
- Communicate and consult with team members on any HSEQ issues or concerns
- Report all hazards and incidents in a timely manner and participate in incident investigations as required
- Participate in any relevant HSEQ Training, Drills or Exercises
- Participate in any relevant audits or inspections
- Be responsible for their own health and safety and that of their team

**Minimum Educational Qualifications**:

- TAFE qualification or equivalent in Electrical Design or Drafting.

**Minimum Previous Experience**:

- Experience in electrical design and drafting in a naval architectural environment related to the original build or upgrades to naval vessels with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in management of design within a quality framework.
- Extensive experience with CAD packages such as AutoCAD.
- Experience with 3D modelling is desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
