**Role Description/Criteria**

At Our Holy Redeemer Primary School the Library Technician is responsible for all aspects of acquiring, organising and maintaining a diverse collection of resources. The role includes monitoring equipment sited in the Library and Teacher Resource Room. Interacting and assisting staff and students comprises a major component of the role.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the Catholic ethos of Our Holy Redeemer. Applicants must be in possession of a current Working With Children Check and National Police Check. Applicants must be able to liaise effectively with teachers, parents, students and consultants.

Special Requirements:

- Must have experience working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience with library management systems
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Knowledge and experience in cataloguing standards
- A working knowledge of current children's literature
- Experience in stock control and collection management
- Excellent organisational ability
