**Job Description**:
As the Pick-up and Delivery Supervisor, you will help drive excellence by creating an engaging culture with customer focused across both the staff and drivers. With this role, you will you drive change and be responsible for the performance of the Global Express drivers, sub-contractors and outside hire team with the zone at Dandenong.

The Pick-up and Delivery Supervisor has the responsibility of ensuring freight that is under their control delivered and picked up in the most cost-efficient manner whilst meeting all expectations of your customer.

We are looking for someone who is collaborative, results orientated and tough minded. Your attention to detail, passion, strong communication and management skills along with your understanding of OH&S principles and a geographical understanding will hold you in high regard.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Labour forecast management- Daily pre-shift & debrief meetings with drivers- Adherence to our Perfect Transaction principals- Lead KPI metric improvements- Ensure that all drivers present for work each day clean, neat and tidy in their uniform- Ensure that all drivers keep their vehicle clean and tidy both inside and out, maintaining regular audits for compliance- Conduct regular route rides with drivers and will utilise route optimisation tools to achieve maximum efficiency with the resources under their control- Customer engagement- Plan leave for the drivers to ensure that all due leave is taken in a controlled manner so that resources are in place to match customer demand- Participate in Customer Service training and Continuous Improvement training to improve their skills and to contribute to the goal of achieving Operational Excellence- Incident management- Manage payroll functions for drivers

What we’re looking for:
- Strong verbal & written skills, communication is an essential part of the role- Previous experience in a similar role / industry would be highly advantageous although not essential- Great attitude and a ‘can do’ mindset, highly motivated to achieve- Motivated and driven to achieve success- Team player - build a culture and structure- Effective record keeping skills- Strong organisational skills- Sound knowledge in effective radio communications- An understanding of KPI’s- Conflict resolution- Customer service
