**About the job**.

Zoom Recruitment is excited to be partnering with one of Australia’s leading manufacturers and distributors of baking ingredients and as such our client needs an exceptional Shift Miller to join them on a full-time basis.

The Shift Miller plays a central role in the milling process that is the core of our client’s business. Areas of responsibility are flour milling, wheat cleaning and tempering, record keeping, sanitation, planning, coordinating, and communication. This position is critical for promoting safety, quality, milling and efficiencies.

The successful applicant
**MUST** have previous experience as a Miller within the milling industry and successfully pass a full medical including drug & alcohol screen.

Responsibilities may include:

- Grist monitoring/blend formulation.
- Wheat blending/cleaning.
- Adjusts production plan/monitors throughout.
- Forecasts offal production.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping of production data.
- Data collection for ancillary monitoring such as OEE, EEO etc.
- Participation in Energy Reduction initiatives.
- Reflowing of Mill when required and authorized.
- Training of Assistant Millers in milling and mill setup.
- After-hours loading and testing of bulk loads if required.
- Conduct regular testing of Wheat / Maize and Flour to ensure correct grist to company and customer standards.
- Completion of all relevant CCP & Quality checks and completion of the relevant paperwork.
- Assist in risk assessments for activities in the mill.
- Ensures GMP policies are adhered to.
- Follow cleaning schedules for the mill.

**Skills & Attributes**:
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience, and attributes:

- Must have experience as a Miller within the milling industry.
- Flour Milling Certificate (e.g. City & Guilds or NABIM) would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of HS&E, HACCP, ISO & GMP requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
