The Data Analyst role is responsible for generating quality customer insight, managing information, identifying trends, and enabling data-driven decisions and customer outcomes. As a Data Analyst, you will consult with stakeholders to understand the business problem and collaborate with other data practitioners to define and deliver an appropriate data solution.

Data Analyst roles work across the analytics continuum including business analytics, Business Intelligence, campaign analytics and predictive analytics. Some Data Analyst positions will have a primary area of focus within the analytics domain including:
**Data Analyst (campaign)**: Insights, targeting and analytics to support and deliver 1:1 customer contact and personalisation.

**Data Analyst (BI)**: Design, development and maintenance of dashboards and visualisations that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

What will your day look like?

Address and solve complex business issues using large amounts of data.

Have a clear understanding of the end-to-end analytics journey as well as define and deliver the Australia Retail data roadmap.

Implement a fact-based culture throughout the bank; Fact base will contain Customer, Operational, Commercial, Market place, Regulatory inputs aligned to business objectives.

Continuous generation, monitoring, presenting, and conducting of 'fact-based' analysis of relevant customer insights to use at any time for the development and improvement of relevant and innovative propositions.

Continuous measurement and analysis of customer journeys.

Perform data analysis within different Tribes to support individual missions of Squads.

Generate, monitor, present and analyse relevant customer insights, costs, benefits, and risks for customers, clients, and cohorts; this could include business casing, what if scenarios and opportunity sizing & assessments, and development and maintenance of dashboards and visualisations.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
Hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation and presentation (e.g., SAS, SQL, Tableau, VBA, QlikSense).

Experience with MarTech tools and campaign approaches.

Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the level of insight surfaced.

Strong ability to translate data insights into practical business recommendations.

Good understanding of concepts in applied probability and statistics

Strong data visualisation skills.

Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical).

Strong communication and presentation skills.
