**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused Federal Government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for multiple Communications & Engagement Business Partners to join the team.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Officer / Manager looking to get a kick start into being a Scrum Master.

12-month initial contract with opportunity for extension. EL1 level scrum master paying $650 per day including super.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research, investigation and sizing of work requests
- Advice to the branch leadership team about prioritisation of work
- Leading the quarterly work planning cycle for the branch
- Managing project scope and timeline, of an Agile design approach.
- Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous project and daily scrum stand-ups.
- Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
- Working with content teams and branch leadership to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
- Guiding development teams to higher scrum maturity.
- Supporting the team to build a productive environment, where team members have accountability for their product.
- Managing the governance of the branch workplan against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.

**About you**
- Experience working within an Agile project environment
- Experience in implementing agile project methodologies in large organisations
- Demonstrated experience in Coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
- Demonstrated experience in managing each project's scope and timeline
- Experience in Facilitating internal communication and effective collaboration
- Understanding of inclusivity principles, and the need to design and implement processes that are accessible to all staff
- Preferable prior knowledge and experience in disability and public sector
