**About the Opportunity**

MDS is seeking an experienced practitioners a permanent Lead Practitioner for our clinical Team. This role will oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Behaviour Support and Allied Health services. MDS provides services to people with a range of disabilities including mental health, behaviours of concern and other complex supports.

The Lead Practitioner position works closely with the General Manager - Community Inclusion and Support to deliver quality services to participants via the management of people, finances, and stakeholders, consistent with the strategic direction of MDS, with an emphasis on the developing a high performing team, the individuals and continuous improvement activities. The role is approximately 40% team management and 60% therapy.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

- NDIS knowledge and experience (in particular Behaviour Support and Restrictive practices)
- Manage transition and establishment of new participants
- Manage the performance of staff including training, mentoring, case load reviews and coaching, performance management, recruitment/selection, supervision, compliance and continuous improvement activities
- Support the General Manager in the management of key deliverables which ensure quality service delivery and financial performance
- Manage a case load of complex supports
- Requirement to be part of the MDS On Call program (up to 5 weeks per year)

The successful applicant will:

- Be of a Proficient Practitioner level per NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission PBS framework.
- Have tertiary qualifications in Allied Health/Human Services (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or relevant discipline)
- Be experienced and have training/qualifications in leadership or management.
- Have successfully mentored, training and lead a teams
- Have successfully implemented operational and strategic plans
- Experience leading continuous Improvement initiatives
- Experience managing compliance activities
- Ability to problem solve and take appropriate action

This Position is full time on a flexi time contract based in Campbelltown/Prestons, with the opportunity for some remote work as approved. The role is paid under the SCHCADS award classification level 6, annual salary of $102,500.00 plus Super. Also offered is salary packaging, flexible working hours, On Call allowance, mobile phone, Laptop and leave loading.
