An exciting opportunity has become available for an engaging, personable and organised individual to coordinate the day to day operation of the High School Library providing clerical and technical support. Key duties include circulation and shelving, processing resources, book covering and repairs and other administrative tasks as directed by the Head of Literacy, Creativity and Academic Enrichment.

This is a full time permanent position within the High School. The role is term time only however there is an additional two weeks during the Term 2 and Term 3 holidays.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To partner with the educators to enhance literacy skills and engagement with literature and appropriate research skills are across the High School.
- To partner and collaborate with all Departments to ensure robust and adequate knowledge of resources and that they are available. To ensure resources are distributed and easily accessible to all departments and all students.
- Manage daily loans and returns.
- Mange the reservation of library items for staff and students.
- Monitor staff and student overdue items and follow up on automatic notices as necessary, including sending student overdue list to Mentor teachers.
- Cataloguing items.
- Subscription monitoring and renewal.
- Student supervision.
- Monitor and refresh digital and physical library displays.
- General tidying of shelves as required.
- Cover/repair books as required.
- Coordinate stocktakes as required.
- Continuously review and improve the systems.

**Experience Required**:

- Would suit someone who has been a teacher or who has worked in an educational setting.
- Experience working in a library or studying towards a library qualification.
- Can demonstrate a good level of communication skills and professional behaviour which leads to positive and constructive teamwork.
- Can positively promote the values of learning and the reputation of the College
- Maintain a professional relationship with students and staff.
- Punctual
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with staff and students in Years 7 - 12 in the delivery of a high level of customer service.

All appointments will be based on merit selection without reference to the religion of applicants. An empathy with the Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School ethos is essential.

**A valid Working with Children Check and proof of full vaccination is essential.**
