Disability Support Worker

Working as a Support Worker with a Male who is diagnosis of Schizophrenia and Intellectual Disability. Participant/ Client is stabilised on his medication, behaviours of concern are not very prominent but should be observed.

Job entails the following,

Male needs support entering into the community, to the gym, swimming and also assist with personal care such as prompting to shower and make his bed in the mornings.

More importantly, needs a support worker who will be able to build a strong rapport with
- Participant is non-verbal, however is able to converse.

Applicant must have a car with insurance.

6-8 hrs a week, 4 days every week.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $70.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Mental Health: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Roxburgh Park, VIC 3064 (required)

Work Location: In person
