With a focus on delivering our Vision2025+ strategy, along with our evolution to a Thriving culture, the Finance Analyst will play a vital part in providing commentary and analysis of budgeting & forecasting processes for a number of different business units.

Supporting a specific David Jones business unit, you will be responsible for supporting these functions with their finances and provide insight into their performance. This role will suit a data-obsessed and curious finance professional with strong analytical skills who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.

**What does the role involve?**
- Support the Finance Business Partner in creating yearly budgets & monthly forecasts for each business unit
- Play a key role in month end processes such as GL analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
- Complete monthly reviews of capital expenditure for each cost centre
- Work closely with the Finance Business Partner on business case modelling for a number of different projects
- Performance analysis regarding Sales, Margins, and Expenses in relation to Return on Investment
- Any other ad-hoc reporting that may arise

**Who are we looking for?**
- Experience in a similar Finance Analyst or Management Accountant role ideally in Retail or Supply Chain
- Ability to take a commercial mindset when approaching problems
- High-level of interpersonal skills in order to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
- Qualified or part-qualified CPA or CA
