**About the Opportunity**

Our client is a private practice that offers healthcare services to people of all ages—providing therapy and assessment services for people with disability, including those on an NDIS plan. We provide services at home, in our clinic, and the community.

**About the role**

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement behaviour support plans. The role involves completing thorough functional behaviour assessments for individuals who exhibit behaviours of concern and developing behavioural and therapeutic interventions, using a Positive Behaviour Support Framework to assist with reducing the intensity or frequency of behaviours of concern.

The Behaviour Support Practitioners examine the use of restrictive practices as per the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and where possible work to eliminate it. The role also provides clinical supervision, training and support to the Behaviour Support team to support the implementation of behavioural strategies and use of restrictive practices.

**About you**
- Tertiary degree with relevant field experience and Eligibility for AASW membership, AHPRA or equivalent
- Eligible to be registered with the NDIS Commission as a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner or above.
- A minimum of three years of experience in behaviour support or a related field of practice
- Genuine interest and passion for working with people with a disability.
- A working knowledge of the NDIS, and experience in working with participants to achieve their goals in line with their NDIS plan.
- Ability to manage a caseload and complete timely case notes.
- A commitment to evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches
- The ability to manage challenging situations.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training relevant to the position.
- Effective collaboration and multidisciplinary team membership to support interventions.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, client databases and the Internet
- Own vehicle and current driver’s licence
