Blacktown, Australia Transforming Kids Therapy Services Full time

Transforming Kids Therapy Services opened in 2016 with a mission to create a space and service which provides neuro-affirming and transformative services to clients and their families. We understand development occurs in many ways and within many cultural experiences and seek to provide holistic and family centered occupational therapy, speech pathology and psychotherapy.

As a company we are relationship style and bottom up or inside out based which results in you developing DIR Floor time, Synergetic Play Therapy, Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental Therapy skills (just to name a few).

Our Team is expanding and looking for counsellor or psychologist to join our team. We have varied positions available to suit new graduates and early career clinicians. All new employees engage with our 100 day success program which includes:

- Initial role training to explain all the processes in place to enable smooth running from admin to clinical roles.
- Professional development to increase your knowledge on formal and informal assessment and intervention.
- Daily check ins
- Twice weekly supervision for the first full year of employment.
- Weekly Professional development groups with your team where you are provided with a custom course created by the clinical director or chosen by the clinical director to increase the team's knowledge base.

As a new employee you will receive training on all aspects of being an allied health professional and complete observations on all roles before starting to complete assessments. We gradually drip feed in clients and ensure you understand and can complete the assessment to intervention process before increasing your client load. We start with 1 client a day, with full support to plan and execute assessments (planning prep, in room supervision and post assessment note completion).

Transforming Kids has a wealth of knowledge from:

- Sensory Integration and the neurobiology of filtering
- Social and emotional development
- Mental health and the connection with functional capacities
- To many more

Required qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy

Our Clinical space is diverse. From large sensory motor rooms, to a full accessible kitchen, media room, art room and basketball court, you have all the equipment and space needed to enable engaging and intrinsically motivating sessions. We have caseload variability as our clinic is custom built to support all ages and all neurotypes.

The roles available are both full time and part time, work from home available (post initial training completion), with varied hours to suit your life needs.

As a human, we also seek to support you on your journey of development. Our Team understands development is bumpy and self reflection can be emotionally activating. We stay away from ‘shoulds' and provide endless support through seniors coming into sessions with you, 1:1 and small group training. As a team we have lunch time tournaments from netball, basketball, handball or soccer and do team lunch orders and coffee runs. We also love escape rooms, lawn bowls and laser tag.
