**PRIMARY PURPOSE**

Assist the Head of Communications & PR to manage Corporate Communications and Media function of Supercars to gain more coverage and profile for the sport, sponsors, teams, and drivers; and establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as Governments, Councils, and key partners. This role is based in Southport, Gold Coast.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Corporate Communications, Media & Public Relations, Stakeholder Engagement 85%**
- Provide a high level of communications support as part of a dynamic team.
- Always maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Working closely with the Head of Communications & PR to prioritise strategy and tasks.
- Assist with media initiatives and strategy with the GM - Corporate Affairs
- Manage season and event launches, and major announcements.
- Manage requests for media, teams, sponsors, and drivers.
- Liaise with event promoters to plan and implement media activities.
- Manage and schedule public appearances of Supercars drivers.
- Prepare and issue approved media releases and associated materials to media.
- Liaise with teams to promote drivers and teams from both Series.
- Assist in scheduling driver interviews for radio, TV, press and Supercars Television.
- Maintain database of key media contacts and general information for media.
- Oversee travel and accommodation for Communications staff and travelling media.
- Manage the annual preparation and delivery of the Series Media Guide.
- Manage and maintain media, team, PR and driver distribution lists.

**Miscellaneous / General 15%**
- Various project work as required and any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time which contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Communications, journalism degree and/or direct industry experience (or similar).
- At least three years’ experience in a high-profile media and communications role.
- Excellent writing skills with published examples.
- Proven history in media relations and working with media.
- Experience in a sport and/or entertainment business is desirable.
- Friendly and professional.
- Highly organised and capable of multi-tasking.
- A problem solver with an ability to perform under pressure.
- Have consistently high standards of professionalism.
- A flexible and adaptable approach.
- Someone who promotes a positive culture.

- Effective relationships with broad section of the media, promoters, sponsors, and teams.

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
