The role of the Administrative Support Services team is to provide essential administrative support to all Housing Portfolio’s directorates, encompassing business support, resource allocation, fleet management, and coordinating establishment changes for seamless business continuity and accurate reporting.

The purpose of this role is to manage administrative staff and corporate service functions, ensuring that administrative services are delivered and standardised in all offices. The role is also the contact point for all administrative issues such as human resources, purchase order management and other administration.

**What you’ll do**

As the Business Manager, you will oversee and streamline administrative processes, staff, and resources across Housing Portfolio to ensure professionalism, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You'll lead the implementation of essential administrative procedures, spanning human resources, finance, correspondence, fleet, travel, accommodation, and information technology, promoting best practices and compliance.

Addressing issues promptly, you'll provide timely, high-level advice to managers and staff, and ensure alignment with relevant policies, operating practices, and legislation.

Managing direct reports, you'll allocate work, appraise performance, and support ongoing professional development.

Your responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with corporate administrative policies and procedures, as well as managing responses to inquiries or complaints from various stakeholders effectively and promptly.

**What we’re looking for**
- Experience in developing and implementing complex office systems as well as experience in influencing changed organisational behaviour together with change management.
- Experience in financial planning, management, and reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
