**About the Position**

After a significant review of the organisation, the Ranger Services Manager position is a new role tailored to attract the best.

The City’s Ranger Services is undergoing significant change to become purpose-based and achieve excellent outcomes for our community (and their pets).

The Ranger Services Manager will be a natural leader who can drive change, bring their team along for the journey, and build a culture of respect and professionalism.

As a leader in this sector, the role needs someone who can continue implementing new processes and technology into the operational teams.

Our team have wide ranging assets at their disposal, including boats for beach patrols, ATV’s to patrol reserves and drones to gather evidence and monitor isolated areas. It is essential that the incumbent must embrace a proactive approach to ensuring our community is safe and achieving compliance.

Having significant experience in a management position or a similar field is key to maintaining the City’s compliance with associated legislation and high conviction rate for prosecutions.

**About You**

The Service Unit’s purpose statement is: _Creating opportunities for community and pets to live peacefully in a safe environment_. We want someone that lives and breves this philosophy and can instil this purpose within the team.

Being part of a larger business unit, you will be at ease with mínimal supervision on daily tasks, but knowing when to report and escalate issues is essential.

Effective communication is critical to this role, so you will be relied upon to provide high-quality written and verbal communication to a variety of stakeholders.

As an experienced leader, you will know that culture is critical and use your experience to lead and manage conflict while embracing diversity within the service.

With the City leading the way and creating the Animal Management and Exercise Plan 2020-25, you will use your natural talents of excellent time management to grow our services, and align it to community values outlined within the plan.

Like any compliance service, you will be bound by legislation and procedural process in some cases, but you will use your experience to successfully navigate this to ensure the service unit’s objective is constantly met.

**Salary**: $115,788 - $123,308 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
