**Job Description**:
As our Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for providing timely and effective paralegal support to the Legal and Compliance Team to assist the team in supporting the wider NEXTDC business.
**What you’ll do**:
- Provide effective legal and administrative support to the Legal and Compliance Team
- Research and analyse legal issues as requested by the team to support innovative approaches to the provision of legal advice
- Undertake project tasks and provide reports in relation to legal and contract management issues
- Assist Legal and Compliance Team with range of tasks across the variety of practice areas in which the team operates, including taking carriage for reviewing, negotiating and drafting signoffs for contracts
- Develop and maintain current knowledge in relation to NEXTDC’s business (including policies and procedures) and the legal practice areas in which the paralegal works
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent drafting skills and a high attention to detail
**Qualifications**:
**What you’ll bring**:
- Undertaking a Bachelor of Laws / JD
- Strong academic results
- Quick learner with strong analytical abilities and attention to details
- Ability to work independently on tasks as well as within a team, build relationships with other business functions and become a trusted advisor (legal, finance, compliance etc)
- Working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts
- Background in IT/telecommunications desirable but not essential
