The Broker Governance Associate focuses on management of the Broker Governance framework, ensuring the risk processes are effective and appropriately updated.

**The Broker Governance Associate is also accountable for**:
Contribute to the design and lead implementation of a streamlined accreditation, onboarding, offboarding framework with supporting processes and service level agreements

Streamlining and executing Accreditations, Onboarding and Offboarding processes for 3rd Party Introducers (Broker, Aggregators and Referrers)

Identifying, assessing, treating/mitigating, and monitoring key risks (credit, operational and compliance risk) with an end-to-end governance view, including oversight of broker behaviour.

Managing changes to accreditation & commission systems and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and operating effectively

Supporting investigations of events arising to Commissions and ensuring our Commission structures are fit for purpose

**Planning and Prioritisation**: Planning and prioritising what needs to be done (including people, process and technology implications) to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, tracking and resolving dependencies.

**Business Acumen**: Business acumen ("Business savvy" and "business sense" are often used as synonyms) is keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a "business situation" (risks and opportunities) in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome.

**Risk and issue management**: The ability to identify and assess risks, determine the corrective action required to control or eliminate the risks and effectively manage issues that arise.

**Stakeholder management**: The ability to identify, understand and anticipate the needs of those who can affect or be affected by your work in order to gain commitment.

**Controls design**: The ability to specify and designing controls (e.g., a process, device or practice) to prevent, detect or remediate identified risks.

**Compliance and Policy Management**: Identifying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, codes and standards to create and/or manage policies, processes and procedures, including how these are organised, reviewed and communicated.

**Risk Management**: A logical and pragmatic method of establishing the context, identifying, analysing, evaluating, treating,

monitoring and/or communicating risks associated with any activity, function or process in a way that will enable the organisation to minimise losses and maximize opportunities.
