**About the Role**

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Wollongong Private Hospital’s Clinical departments.

This role is a critical part of the surgical process that will see you working efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines.
- Duties may include but are not limited to;_
- Providing timely sterile products, trays, and equipment where applicable
- You will be rotated in various allocated areas in the department
- You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Cert 3 qualification in Sterilising Services
- Prior experience working in a Sterilising Unit
- Your positive attitude will enable you to work effectively alongside our team and independently as required
- You will be customer service oriented in both internal and external settings
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

**Remuneration**

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from **$29.36 - $37.60 + **casual loading where applicable **and superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

**About Our Hospital**

Wollongong Private Hospital is a 171 bed private hospital operated by Australia's largest private hospital operator, Ramsay Health Care, is set in the heart of Wollongong's Medical Precinct. Wollongong Private Hospital provides all major services including an intensive care unit, ten operating theatres, cardiac and vascular Labs and an Endoscopy suite. Surgical specialties include Cardiothoracics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, Head and Neck, Gynaecological, Urology, Colorectal, upper GI, General, Vascular and Plastics.

**Requirements**:

- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
