Job Description Summary
Experienced crew leader / foreman to lead our 4-person land development crew.
This is a full-time hands-on position. You will be responsible for leading a team in the laying of water and gas mains in new housing estates in the North and Western suburbs of Melbourne.
About the Role
Service Stream Infrastructure delivers end-to-end engineering and asset management services to leading utility and energy providers across Australia.
We are looking for experienced crew leader / foreman to lead our 4-person land development crew.
You will be responsible for leading a team in the laying of water and gas mains in new housing estates in the North and Western suburbs of Melbourne.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience in a similar position, you will substantial knowledge of the main laying process of Water and Gas. You will be hands on and have a commitment to the safety and development of your team. You will have a solid level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing/pipe laying of water and gas mains.
- Maintain productive relationships, clearly communicating with crews, management, and other stakeholders.
- Training and development of team members
- Plan, manage and lead your team, ensuring safety management, quality compliance, resource efficiency and reporting requirements are all met
- Safety leadership including management and review of SWMS, permits, procedures, toolbox, and daily prestart meetings.
- Reporting and monitoring of workplace hazards, risks, issues, and incidents
- Ensure all onsite activities comply with the relevant safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

- Experience in managing people and resources across the construction industry.
- Sound understanding of all Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
- Ability to deliver practical solutions with attention to the required detail.
- Driver License and White Card,
- Certificate III civil construction advantageous
