- 255654Our Federal Government Client is looking for a **Cyber Security Specialist Program Manager** to be responsible for analysing and documenting cyber security risks to the Client's information, managing remediation plans with the Client's service providers, and developing policies, plans, and other documentation to improve security compliance.

This is a **contract position for 12 months with target start date of** **01 July 2023**. This role is open to Australian citizens with **active AGSVA Baseline security clearance**. Location of work can either be in the Client's Canberra or Sydney office with a 50/50 balance of remote/on site arrangement.

Duties include the development of reporting tools, standard operating procedures and work instructions, preparation of guidance documents, risk statements, and training materials. The position will participate in the provision of advice to all areas of the agency, including projects, managed activities, and external stakeholders such as auditors.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Coordinating and managing all aspects of the Cyber uplift program
- Reporting on progress and milestones
- Reviewing outcomes of assessment reports and developing and oversighting remediation plans in consultation with APVMA service providers
- Providing updates and briefs to the APVMA executive, board, and audit committee, as required
- Analysing and documenting cyber security risks to APVMA's ICT network and infrastructure,
- Developing cyber awareness materials and providing input to the Cyber awareness learning and development plan; and
- Developing policies, plans, and other documentation to improve security compliance.
- Assist with the accreditation of APVMA's ICT systems in accordance with the Australian Signals Directorate's Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Monitor vendor security notifications, assess potential impacts on APVMA's systems and engage service providers to undertake remediation activities.
- Produce reports on the status of the security of APVMA's ICT information environment.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments, findings and remediation of identified threats and vulnerabilities in consultation with APVMA service providers.

**Essential criteria**
- At least five years' experience in Cyber related roles in the Australian Government context
- At least ten years' experience in ICT related roles
- Experience delivering ICT projects and knowledge of project management frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in drafting technical documentation
- Understanding of and exposure to the current cyber risk environment

**Desirable criteria**
- Relevant qualifications including:

- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- SANS specific security training
