We are currently working with a rapidly growing civil contractor who is now seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Leading Hand to join their construction team. As a Civil Leading Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various civil construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Brisbane and Surrounding locations | Must be willing to travel

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a team of construction workers, providing guidance and support throughout the project.
- Coordinate and allocate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor the progress of construction projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute construction activities effectively.
- Maintain a safe working environment, promoting adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior workers, fostering their professional development and enhancing their skills.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Prepare reports, including progress updates, resource utilization, and any incidents or delays encountered.
- Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise among team members or subcontractors.
- Operating machinery & labouring when required

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Civil Leading Hand or similar role in civil construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven experience working on sub-divisions

Qualifications:

- Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred)
- Machinery tickets; Excavator, posi track, dozer, roller
- Construction white card
- Current transport
