**The Opportunities**

The People Branch is looking for motivated individuals to fill multiple Recruitment Advisors and Payroll/ Workforce Reporting Officers roles that are available within the Branch.

The **Recruitment Advisors **support the AEC in its day-to-day recruitment and onboarding activities and is the entry point for potential employees when they first encounter the AEC. In these roles you will support business areas through recruitment activities, including advertising, selection panels and processes, and onboarding requirements. Backed by excellent customer service skills, you will build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships while resolving simple to moderately complex recruitment enquires.

You will also communicate with them and make decisions using expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, AEC and APSC best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.

Using strong attention to detail, you will prepare letters of offers, pre-employment checks and contribute to the maintenance of records and employee files. You will also have the opportunity to support the team in the delivery of recruitment and onboarding projects and contribute to the preparation of any electoral event and delivery activities.

As a **Payroll Officer**, you will be is required to undertake the day-to-day processing of payroll, including salary as well as answer entitlement and conditions queries from both internal and external stakeholders. As part of this role, you will calculate entitlements for AEC staff, including commencements and cessations.

The Payroll Officer interprets and provides advice to staff on salaries and related entitlements, leave and general conditions of service in line with the AEC Enterprise Agreement and related legislation, policies and procedures.

The **Workforce Reporting Officer** role is responsible the provision of accurate and timely workforce and establishments data and reports to support and inform data-driven decisions in the AEC.

This role undertakes analysis of moderate complexity and assist the team in the delivery of establishments reporting through consultation with relevant business areas on short-term and long-term establishments management and initiatives under the general direction of the Assistant Director.

To excel you’ll have:

- Ability to quickly acquire or existing knowledge of payroll, workforce reporting and/or general HR practices, polices, procedures and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively while liaising with stakeholders, providing accurate advice and assisting to resolve issues across a geographically dispersed network.
- Effective time management skills, ability to work under limited direction, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated resilience and agility to respond positively while working under pressure.
- Ability to achieve quality results with close attention to detail and a commitment to ongoing improvements.
- Demonstrated personal integrity whilst delivering solution-oriented outcomes within legislative and policy parameters.
