Our opportunity:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of finished goods. Supporting the Warehouse Manager, this role drives continuous process improvement approach and a strong health and safety culture. The Warehouse Supervisor also has oversight to the warehouse and distribution operation scorecard ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of goods.
You will lead and motivate a strong team within our Warehouse. We handle high value, prestige appliances and this role is a key part in continuing our reputation as a prestige brand by ensuring product arrives with our customers in perfect condition.
This is a vital and busy role, managing up to 12 direct reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven H&S experience and leadership within a Warehouse centre environment
- Strong commercial acumen for the effective management of warehouse labour, including overtime, annual leave, and casual labour, ensuring productivity targets are met.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be results driven, focused on operational KPI’s that drive accountability and operational improvements and reduce cost.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as J.D. Edwards.
- Prepare, analyse and evaluates data and reports, reaching logical conclusions and making business focused recommendations.
- Transitional facility & MPI compliance experience.
- Intermediate computer skills. Word, excel etc.
- Up to date Forklift Ticket.
